The Embassy of Portugal in Windhoek is responsible for the diplomatic representation of the Portuguese Government in Namibia.

This mission follows the political, economic, business and social development as well as all foreign policy issues.  The Embassy is responsible for the  development of bilateral relations with the State of Namibia, namely in the following areas: political, trade, business, investment, tourism,  Portuguese language and culture. 

The Embassy guarantee and promotes the Portuguese interests in Namibia and supports the Portuguese Community that resides in this country.

Vice president of Porto University, Professor Fátima de Marinho, visited Namibia

Founded in 1911, the University of Porto (U.Porto) is a benchmark institution for Higher Education and Scientific Research in Portugal and one of the top European Universities according to the most relevant international ranking systems. The vice president of Porto University, Professor Fátima de Marinho, accompanied by Professor Amélia Apolínia and Mrs Estefânia Lopes, visited Namibia (31 october – 4 november 2016) with the aim of  exploring a partnership with the University of Namibia.
